Paul Parent had been on the radio providing gardening advice to listeners in New England for the last 33 years.  The Paul Parent Gardening Club expert gardening advice is now heard on stations all over the country with one-half million loyal listeners.

 Paul graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture in 1970. The following year he met the love of his life, best friend, and partner, Christine Duncan Parent. They married June 24, 1972, surrounded by family and friends. Together they had three children and four grandchildren, whom they cherished greatly. Outside of family time, Paul’s sanctuary was his garden. He spent countless hours tending his plants, getting his hands dirty and thinking of innovative designs. He channeled this love for gardening into his livelihood – The Paul Parent Garden Club. “Good Morning Gardeners and Welcome to the Paul Parent Garden Club” was his hearty welcome to listeners all over the world, engaging garden lovers of every age in discussion about his favorite subject for over 35 years.  

Sadly,  On August 13th Paul Parent left to tend a new garden with the angels, passing peacefully in his sleep.  The torch has been passed on to his son Patrick, whom with his years of gardening experience and guidance from his father, Paul; Patrick will continue the legacy left by his father in the tradition his father set forth over 33 years ago.  It is our hope that you will continue to tune in to the Paul Parent Garden Club every Sunday with your gardening questions and comments.
